This is a classic Bijar (often called the “Iron Rug of Persia” due to its dense, rigid weave). At 125 x 80 cm, it is a highly collectible small scatter rug or decorative mat. The design leans towards a pictorial, “Garden” aesthetic rather than pure geometry.

The color palette is exceptionally warm and earthy. The primary field is a soft, taupe-brown or camel tan, providing a neutral, open canvas that feels very organic. The motifs woven into the field are rendered in cream and ivory, deep navy blue, soft slate blue, terracotta red, and a distinct golden mustard yellow. The main border provides a dramatic contrast, featuring a deep midnight navy ground with crisp geometric motifs in cream and golden yellow. There is a subtle, beautiful abrash across the brown field, giving it a rich, textured depth.
